Matt is a Solicitor and Higher Court Advocate, who conducts advocacy in the Magistrates Courts and Crown Court. He represents individuals and companies who face all types of criminal and regulatory prosecutions.
He is a specialist in motoring offences and road traffic law and advises on technical defences and legal loopholes to present effective legal arguments to the Court to avoid driver disqualification. In this area of expertise he covers all aspects of motoring law. He has an excellent success rate and if there is a way of keeping your licence he will find it.
Matt has significant experience in regulatory defence work, representing individuals and companies in regulatory matters, prosecuted by agencies including the Crown Prosecution Service, Trading Standards, HM Revenue & Customs, VOSA, the DVLA, the Department of Work and Pensions, the Health and Safety Executive, the Federation against Copyright Theft (SKY prosecutions), and the SIA.
He appears before Council Taxi and Premises Licensing committees and conducts appeals against committee decisions in Magistrates and Crown Court.
He appears before the first Tier Transport Tribunal, acting on behalf of Driving Instructors who are appealing the removal of their ADI registration.
He also acts on behalf of parents appealing school places decisions and represents companies and individuals who find themselves brought to court by Local Authorities in Closure Order and Houses in Multiple Occupation matters.
